Thank you for shopping with LemonBelly! We truly appreciate your support and love sharing unique and vintage pieces with you.

Vintage Items

Because each item is carefully inspected and made available at a fair price, all sales are final. Due to the delicate and unique nature of vintage items, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges on any vintage items. We encourage you to check measurements, review photos, and ask any questions before purchasing—we’re always happy to help! If you have any questions about the item you received or our policy, please reach out to hello@lemonbelly.co.uk.

Hand Made Items

We do not accept returns on items that are one-of-a-kind, handcrafted items that have been sold as new, e.g. Handmade wigs and Headpieces. We would not be able to sell them again as new.

New Items

On our new items, we do accept returns under the condition that the item has not been worn or tampered with. The item must be returned with a receipt of purchase, in the same condition it was sent with a 2 week return window.

Item Condition

All vintage pieces may show signs of previous wear or age. We carefully inspect and document each item, so you know exactly what you're getting. We try our best to make sure any imperfections are noted, but we cannot ensure that there will not be some wear-and-tear that goes unnoticed. Again, if something does not seem right, please reach out to us via email.

Order Accuracy

Please double-check your order details, including size and shipping information, before completing your purchase. By finalizing your order, you acknowledge that all details are correct.

A Note on sustainability and our Returns Policy

We hope you understand the unique nature of selling and buying vintage clothes is a more considered purchase as many of our garments are one of a kind or rare. Most of our pieces in store have been made individually or made a long time ago and are no longer in production. In other words: Because the clothes and costume we sell are not "fast fashion" they have not been made in a mass-produced cheap way that come with the expectation that a huge proportion will be returned and thrown into landfill. For this reason, we do not accept returns as it would not align with the "Vintage - one-of-a-kind" business model. To sum up: The Fast Fashion business model builds in a price that is inclusive of the huge number of returns and huge amount of waste. We on the other hand work on the basis that is the opposite of this where everything is hand-picked with minimal waste. To be blunt: If we hand-pick everything, fix everything, let customers “borrow” everything and then throw it all away, we would be out of business in a few weeks.  For these good reasons we do not usually accept returns; and we sincerely hope you can appreciate why. All that being said: At the managers discretion in exceptional circumstances, we are sometimes able to do a return or an exchange.

Now we have cleared that up... On a lighter note: If we see you on Instagram at a party dancing around in one of the costumes you have tried to return; we reserve the right to laugh about it and tell all your friends.
